A sneak preview of an immersive exhibition in the heart of Brocéliande

This spring, let yourself be swept away by a unique artistic world in Paimpont, right in the heart of Brocéliande. Denez Prigent’s exhibition “À l’Encre des Légendes” is open to the public free of charge until 30 June 2026, at two iconic venues.

Already acclaimed by over 10,000 visitors since its opening in December, this exhibition invites you to a sensory and contemplative experience, blending imagination with Breton traditions.

A poetic journey between drawing and legends

Known for his spellbinding voice, Denez Prigent reveals here a more intimate facet of his work: drawing.

Created in black and white using a ballpoint pen, his works emerge from a spontaneous gesture, without the addition of colour, to preserve the creative momentum. Spheres, crosses, moons, stars and repeated patterns compose a dreamlike and hypnotic universe. Each drawing seems to spring from the artist’s subconscious and invites you on an inner journey, where Brittany reveals itself in a different light.

Two venues, two complementary experiences

The exhibition unfolds in two stages to enhance your experience:

• Brocéliande, La Porte des Secrets (Broceliande, The Gate of Secrets) presents an initial selection of works in an intimate setting, perfect for contemplation.

• From 2 April, a more immersive exhibition takes place at Paimpont Abbey, offering a fresh encounter with the artist’s world.

These two stages form a complementary journey, designed to deepen the connection between the artist and the public.

Denez Prigent, an artist bridging tradition and creativity

As a leading figure on the Breton and international scene, Denez Prigent is renowned for his interpretations of traditional songs in the Breton language, known as gwerzioù. As the heir to a culture passed down from childhood, he draws deep inspiration from ancient legends and tales.
